Jean Delva
Founder & CEO
Jean Delva, the founder and CEO of Symbion Coding Inc., is a medical coding expert with extensive experience in Medicare risk adjustment and chart auditing. Over his 15-year career, he has achieved a track record of success, including helping many organizations increase their profits.
Mr. Delva is a shrewd operational manager who prizes the discovery of new efficient ways to help large health plans, managed service organizations (MSOs), and medical providers maximize revenue. To date, his clients have improved revenue through their partnership with Symbion.
Prior to founding Symbion in 2018, Mr. Delva served as the director of Medicare risk adjustment at one of the largest MSOs in Florida. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating coding and retrospective audits with Independent Practice Association (IPA) providers and nine wholly- owned centers.
Mr. Delva earned an associate degree in health information and medical records technology from Palm Beach State College. He holds certifications as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer; Certified Coding Specialist (CCS); Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P); and Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) from American Health Information Management (AHIMA).
Jose Guethon MD MBA CDIP
Physician Advisor Consultant
Dr. Guethon is a licensed primary care physician and experienced healthcare executive. He has held several key positions including Market Medical Director, President, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Operations Officer, in public and private organizations such as Humana, Metropolitan Health Networks, and ClareMedica Health Partners.
He brings 29 years of healthcare experience to Symbion in his role as Consultant & Physician Advisor. Dr. Guethon has devoted his career to ensure that Florida’s seniors (Medicare and Medicare Advantage) have access to care that is patient-centered, wholistic, high quality, and cost-effective.
Dr. Guethon also earned a Masters degree in Business Administration (management), and is a certified Clinical Documentation Integrity Practitioner (AHIMA).
Susan Walberg
Compliance Consultant
Susan is a Compliance Consultant at Symbion Coding Inc. She is responsible for researching and providing guidance on compliance-related concerns to Symbion’s clients. She is an award-winning author, healthcare consultant, and attorney. Susan has worked in healthcare for 30 years across a wide range of settings.
Her background includes her work as a Fraud Analyst/investigator for Blue Shield, a Regulatory Attorney and Privacy Officer for a very large multi-state health system, a Compliance Officer, and a subcontractor with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) working on Medicare Parts C and D fraud and abuse prevention and detection.
Most recently, Susan has worked as a healthcare consultant, providing compliance program guidance and development to a wide range of healthcare organizations.
Weter Louis
Market Manager
Weter is the Market Manager of North Florida at Symbion Coding Inc. He is responsible for seeking new business opportunities and maintaining productive client relations. His roles also include contributing to sales innovations and developing strategic business goals.
Weter has over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining Symbion Coding Inc., he served as a manager in the pharmacy division of the world’s largest retailer, “Walmart.” His responsibilities were to increase sales, acquire products, maintain inventory, and provide customer service.
Weter holds an associate degree in Health Information Management from Palm Beach State College.
Nundye Ogor
Clinical Documentation Improvement Consultant
Nundye Ogor is a Clinical Documentation Improvement Consultant at Symbion Coding Inc. She is a registered nurse, certified coder, and case manager who is passionate about excellence in patient care and documentation. Nundye has a track record of over 15 years of compassionate, quality patient care.
Before joining Symbion Coding, Nundye spent five years in large healthcare systems helping providers and coders with documentation and coding accuracy in outpatient and inpatient settings, bridging the gap between clinical and coding languages.
